House Tour

This 2000 sq ft “cottage” is a bungalow in a bustling downtown core of a suburb just 30 mins outside of Chicago.

This house is a new build, but you’d never know it because the outside blends well with the surrounding homes, and many layers of vintage, antique, and repurposed finds have been incorporated in to this home. For example, the pantry is lockers from an old local highschool. The surrounding homes are similar in stature and shape, and the design had to go through a review process with the local town hall in order to build.

The front garden is an oasis of native plants and pollinators for monarch butterflies and bees. The inside of the home has modern high ceilings with a one-of-a-kind custom Amish built kitchen that has cabinets built right into the vaulted ceilings. The kitchen island is an 90-year-old general store counter that has been lovingly restored and featured in countless online publications.
